Workshop Schedule

A brief opening to introduce participants to the world of AI in testing: current trends, evolving roles for testers, the rise of prompting, and the shift from manual to augmented QA. We'll preview the tools and hands-on approach that will guide the day.

Participants will learn how to build a custom AI assistant using a graphical interface. The assistant will be fed software specifications or an API schema (JSON format) and will generate relevant test cases and documentation. Hands-on activity includes prompt design, test plan creation, and comparing AI-generated output to manual work.

Participants will explore a no-code test automation tool that allows the creation of UI test cases using natural language. Hands-on work will involve writing and executing test cases against a sample application, reviewing test results, and refining test logic.

This session demonstrates how to use a browser-based AI tool that offers real-time suggestions while sharing the screen during a live testing session. Participants will see how the AI identifies test areas, UI components, and potential edge cases as they explore an application.

Participants will install and use a browser extension that supports testers by capturing flows, detecting issues, and documenting behavior—all directly in the browser. Hands-on work includes test flow simulation and interpreting AI-powered insights.

Using an AI coding assistant, each participant will build a simple web application with minimal configuration. The application will be hosted in the cloud, and participants will perform exploratory testing on it, identifying issues and creating test scenarios using AI support.

Final discussion summarizing the workshop’s key learnings, exploring how participants can apply these tools in their daily work, and answering open questions.
